03 Mazda 6 build
So know that im starting to gather equipment, thought I could post a log.
I will have my Singer 230A alt most likely at the end of this month. Hes already orderd parts just has to build, do the rewind and then its on its way to my doorstep. Also I plan on getting one of the two 12" DC XLs (maybe both just have to wait and see if I get my settlement by then) towards the end of this month as well. Then I just need to get the two batteries, second mono block, 4 channel amp, hook it all up then im done (for now). I want to get a 5k amp but right now just dont have the cash for that.
Well on to what I have right now... its just the wire, fuse holders etc.

Good start. Looks like your planning it well and making sure you have proper electrical. Hopefully we can exchange some demo time in the near future.

Rather do it right the first time than have to go back multiple time to change stuff. My plan is to have this fully done around christmas. Probably get the 3100 first so I can start playing with it then when I get the front 3400 it will be complete.

Re: 03 Mazda 6 build
So got the deadner in this afternoon.
on to the pics
Stripped the trunk (kinda) and it with the first strip down.
With one layer of deadner in the trunk.
This whole time I completely forgot to put some on the back of my license plate, I put two layers on it.
Then all put back together for now. Yeah theres alot of shit in there, my girlfriend decided just to leave blanket and backpack in my car. Then on the right you will see my Shok wire. I have two runs (+ and -) for when I have a battery back there. will ran once I have everything.
Now some pics with a decent camera of the LEDs in the dome lights.
It looks alot better at night lol just thought id take a pic. I did put some deadner on the whole surface of my deck lid in my trunk that I missed when I ran out of Dynamat. I forgot to take a pic of that, whoops but I got all that out of the way.
Stay tuned for more.

Thanks, most likely I will be getting the m2s when they come out because ive pushed back buying them for now, ran into some money issues but until then im focusing on the electrical. I will probably use what I have left for my doors and if I run out, go get some dynamat to finish. works pretty much to same way. lol no sense on waiting another two weeks for a roll lol

Re: 03 Mazda 6 build
Nice man. That's one thing I have been totally slacking on. Someday I will do it. My headliner is retarded with 4 curtain airbags though so probably will never do that unless forced to.
Glad you're doing it right and making sure you cover your bases instead of being lazy and getting other shit first like me, lol.

Well they way i look at it, theres two ways to do it. get the small stuff first, or get the big stuff then let the little stuff trickle in here and there. Im kinda forced to get the "small" purchases before the xls. The subs alone about to probably 90 percent if what my elctrical, amps etc add up too lol but in due time this will be completed

Im coming to walmart to meet up with you guys and Ill show you then, but just a tight fit to get my hands in and I have to go through the wheel well to get to the back of the housing. But its worth it, to me they look like stock xenon headlights.

Re: 03 Mazda 6 build
so time to get the pics up from the new HID kit I put in. They are DDM 55w 8k hids. WAYYYYY better that the notto SE set I had, I wouldnt recommend going with them if you come across that brand.
on to the pics...
I dont have a wire harness for these, I might get one, when I get my electrical all up to par for the rebuild but for now they are holding up just fine, no dimming when playing so its fine with me. they are the slim balasts, I dont know what that black box thats coming from the balast is, kind of looks like an inline fuse type thing but idk.
So i had to go through the wheel well, becuase if you look at the pic about this one, the space is two tight, as well on the other side. wasnt that hard getting all the clips and plastic rivets out or whateve rthat holds it in.
This is the new DDM 55w 8k bulb in.
old 35w 10k notto SE bulb, idk if you can tell a difference but in person you could.
ALOT BRIGHTER imo. it turned out soo well.
Since this I have raised them a few inches to get a little bit more depth when driving.

Re: 03 Mazda 6 build
so my alt from mike singer got sent out yeterday and ill have the tracking info sent to me tomorrow, so by then ill know when it will be here. He powder coated it black free of charge for me cause on tuesday and wednesday they were a bit behind with his techs being out of the shop, so that was pretty cool.
Here is a pic of the performance curve of the stator alone tested at 13.5V, and he set the regulator to run at 15V and with all the other parts of the alt its max output is 230A. Idle should be arouind 150-160A.
