Sundown Nightshade v.1 motors, NS v.2 coils, Zv.3 spiders
Just starting to build my Nightshades again after beating the piss out of them with over 3k each shortly after they were built the first time.
This time they are getting upgrades to NS v.2 coils (much longer and require spacer), and Zv.3 spider (per Jacob, this is currently the best spider pack for low freq excursion). Just throwing a couple beginning pics up. Doing 2 of them tonight, then pulling the other from my temp setup and doing it tomorrow. More pics to follow.

lol, it was supposed to be 24oz but I think it was more like 12oz cause them bottles were not nearly full and don't look that big. I actually might need more for my next project.Zooook wrote:Looking good! That big 70oz thing of ca is coming in handy I bet lol
I'm gonna try to build some recones from parts to build up the 6 mojo motors I got from Ben. I will post that up too....maybe a bit later if I'm short on glue. Parts come in tomorrow.

Re: Sundown Nightshade v.1 motors, NS v.2 coils, Zv.3 spiders
Finished up the first two NS's this morning. Forgot how tight these coils fit, but they came out good. Only issue I had was with one of the dust caps this morning.
I had to run some errands so I was in a hurry to lay the dust cap before I left so it could dry while I was gone. I ran a bead of amazing goop around the cap, placed it right, then put a full roll of duct tape on top and a box to weight it down, as usual. I must have had the weight a bit off center because that cap slid to one side about 1/4 in. No big deal, not going to effect the play at all but it is off center a little and has a little excess glue showing now. You can see it on the left in the last picture with both subs.
Going to start the third tonight, then rework the 4th order a bit before I start to install again.

All three done. Now to get them installed again for a while.
Will start another log soon with my nightshade/mojo hybrid project.
