Olympia WA Car Audio Event

Ok so its not official yet because we need 2 things but Ill make a list of everything I have ready

Have:
It will be on sunday
I have a local Audio shop called Audio Northwest who wants to host the show and they have a huge parking lot
I have a taco bus guy who will come whenever the show is held
They said they might be able to pay $500 for people to come out with Termlabs and make it official (im not sure what people they are talking about, ill ask next time im there)
There will be a entry fee for trophies and a raffle or whatever else we need money for.

Need:
I need a date that most of you guys will be able to attended the event in February or March.
I need some way to make it official so we can get points, but if Audio Northwest can pay the people to come out and do it for us then we wouldn't have to worry about it.


This is my first time setting up an event so please give me some feedback as to what should be at the event and give the dates of the Sundays you guys are open.

its a good start.. but paying 500 to bring a guy out? damn they are pretty serious lol im game to come down and watch, wont have the build done by then but once you get everything finalized ill get some people to coem out.. make sure its not during autorama cause I know a good portion of the NW guys are going to cali for that,.

What is the dates for that?

I believe mid february like the 17-19th but dont quote me thats what I think I remember... I would try to aim for more towards the summer. the only reason I say that is because of weather and our summers here are pretty decent and I dont think you would want something like what we just went through to cancel an event like the one your trying to set up and the money thats getting invested in. just my two cents

I know I wont make it in Feb as my build isn't done and I plan on being at autoroma (Feb 17-19 is correct) but any time after that I'd love to make it. The later it is the better chance I got on bringing two vehicles.

Sundays have worked best normally, i have sun mon tues off every week. But everyone can chime in i can take some days off but i gotta save most of vacation for the biggest events like cali and oregon etc... You dont need to pay 500 for someone to come with a TL lol anyone can host a 1x dbdrag event as long as you know the rules and have a termlab. So I have a termlab and I think couple others were looking to buy one, and the rules are free to download so yea we can host it ourselves.

But its nice for a shop to sponsor it, they can have a cut of the entry fee's, its 100 bucks to host a 1x event so it would be nice for entry fee's to pay for that amount then the shop can have whats left or whatever.

500 bucks is probably to have the west coast dbdrag guy brought up here for a 2x or 3x event.

are entry fees all the same when it comes to events or do they increase with X2 or X3 events?

They increase alot..

$50 + scoresheet costs is all it takes for IASCA. Let me know if you want to have it be IASCA sanctioned. I can get all the judges together and I could also round up competitors for SQ, so then you can run idbl, bass boxing, and SQC. You could have a huge turnout like we had at Streamline last May. The worst weekend to have it is Mar 24-25. Luke and Will are going to be at the dbdrag finals in Cali and me and a few others will be at SBN.

I second this. The bass boxing was cool to watch last year

So we can do March 18th or 25th. Im trying to make the show happen in the next couple months because alot of the car audio shops are not doing so well, so I need to promote them so they get more money and I can get a job there this summer lol. Im already a sales rep for them. Three more things:

What should we charge for an entry fee IF we host it?

Which of those 2 days can the most people make it?

How many of you would maybe need a hotel? Because I can try to get some sort of discount at the closest hotel, maybe.

I didnt see the post about you not being able to make the 25th. Whos down for March 18th or April 1st or 8th, April first would be good but I think someone else was talking about a show then

I think your best bet would be march 18th or april 8th, I can make both by the way.. Don't know if I will compete but will donate in some way to help out.. Yeah april first wouldn't happen cause that's hectors birthday and I think a good portion of guys, including my self are going to be in yakima that weekend. It will be kind of a meet/show/get shitty weekend lol

im down for any sunday, entry fee 15-20 bucks for 1 class is normal.

Ok I talked to Audio Northwest today and I got metered. 148.2 sealed at the dash, I think I can get 150 out of it tho with some more fine tuning and upgrading my electrical. As for the show we are aiming for March 18th and they said they will pay the $100 fee to make it official and they will pay the judges (we just need some). We will charge $20 for each class so we can have trophies and stuff, and Audio Northwest is contacting all their suppliers like memphis, JL, mtx and others to see if they can get things to give away in raffles. We have March 18th and april 8th and april 15th booked but we want to aim for March 18th so try and plan for the 18th. I have a couple questions,

What comps do you want to have? im not sure what there is but I know the is DBdrag and bass boxing (i think thats the same thing) and just classes.
How many classes are there so I can get a quote on trophies?

Also do we have Judges who can come?
