Port placement Empty Port placement

So I have my latest box almost completed but I can not decide which way to place the ports. I have a 3.5 cube box for a single 15. The way it's built it fires the sub forward (or back depending on which way sounds better). So I'm asking for suggestions on where to place to ports. I can fire them up through my rear deck because my 6x9's are no longer in there. Or fire them forward with the sub or to one of the sides. Please help so I can finish my box.

Box specs are 18 H x 30 W x 15 D

Since I didn't get much response on here this is what I ended up doing after talking a bit with JJ. I was Doing a quick box for a single RE se 15. It's nothing fancy, 3.5 cubes tuned around 34ish. The box is 30W x 18H x 15D. Should be seeing around 600-800 watts from my AP1500.

The plan was to do a "base" coat of some left over paint that was used when we first moved into the house, and than do a bedliner. But I found this green that was left by the last owner so I'm not sure which I'll go with.... I wanted to do a bottom layer because the last time I used the roll on bedliner the wood soaked it up like crazy so I wanted something between the two.
