So just to give you a little info onthe box before I post the pics. 42" wide x 16" tall x 20" deep, 4.6 cubes.. I told him what I'm going to be running so 4.6 is after bracing and sub displacement, 58 sq in of port, tuned to 33 hz. Port and port walls will be rounded off and there will also be a port 45.

Raised Vinyl DC Logo would be cool. You could vinyl wrap the 4 wide sides of the enclosure and add the raised vinyl to the top so you could see it, then for the sides to avoid any ugly seams you could attach some cosmetic caps which would either be vinyled or carpeted.

If I were to do that than I would want the vinyl thats over the DC logo to be red or something. all my gauges are red, it would go with that I would think. Then the DC logo on the dust caps to be either red red or black.

So you could cut out the DC logo with your router or jigsaw. Use a router with a flush bit to create a copy of the DC logo (now you should have 2 copies). then attach one set to your box that has had its edges taped off. Bondo the edges of the DC logo to your enclosure to flush the letters in. Now when you pull the letters after the bondo has dried you should have a perfect impression of the logo. Now using the copy of the letters you made, attach the 2 sets together and use a stepdown bit on your router. the stepdown should be 1/16 - 1/8 smaller (this will accommodate for carpeted enclosure or vinyled enclosure and the vinyled letters). Now if you vinyl the enclosure make sure your bondo work is smooth enough to ensure that you won't see any blemishes through the vinyl. If your carpeting you can pretty much make 1 or 2 passes and do a light sanding before you finish the enclosure.

The ultimate goal here would be to give you 2 different platforms for color (especially since you wanted to do Red DC logo).

Just a thought ;D

I get what your saying, shouldn't be too hard. I'm kind of re thinking having the vinyl that goes over the DC logo on the back to be red.. Don't want to go through sewing in a red, just more ways to screw it up but I think have a all balcked out look would be pretty cool with the raised logo. I'm going to see if bama could help me on that if I have him help me build the enclosure.

you wouldn't have to sew if you use the DC as an insert. But just a black wrap in carpet or vinyl would look cool too.
