Re: amp box....
Wow, I've been looking for an amp rack/enclosure for my car, and correct me if I'm wrong (which doesn't happen often) but that looks like the trunk of an Accord? And that'll be PERFECT!! SPL, you're my hero... haha, no homo!

I think I'm gonna steal your idea. I went thru your MRT on cb7tuner looking for ideas. I looked at quite a few different rides to get some ideas, then I JUST found this. I'll just need to figure out the carpet in my trunk. I may get some aftermarket carpet to wrap my box and trunk in.

Re: amp box....
Will do. I'll need to get some Plexiglas. My amps end to end are almost 36 inches wide and 9 inches tall. My wiring is long enough to get to the back of my trunk. This will give me a way to clean up my spaghetti mess and make it look presentable. I'll have to look around for some lumber. You used 2x4's for the frame?

Re: amp box....
Umm... I think there 1x4 2x4's were thicker.....and I just used the cheap flooring wood that's at Lowes because it was only holding amps. So there wasn't a need two use mdf...
Re: amp box....
What I was thinking about doing so I could use my trunk floor was to have a bottom on the box to mount the amps to, then cover the entire thing with plexi to show em off. I'd probably need 1/4 or so for thickness?

Re: amp box....
I will. Maybe instead of closing in the ends, I'll either leave them open or someone told me to use dowels, that way the sides are supported. If the weather would cooperate, I may do this in my next days off and take some pics. It SHOULD be pretty simple.

Re: amp box....
That was me I told you that if you use dowel between the two boards instead of sides it will be able two breath better lol.....
Re: amp box....
I know. I think rather than enclose the entire thing, I'll put some wood on the ends and some braces along the long boards. I COULD have this shit done but my brother doesn't know where he put the jigsaw. I even unhooked both my amps, got em all laid out with my distribution blocks... no saw. So for now, I wait.
