ive done a few recones...heres some pics... justin/jj53913 had my xl's after i reconed them, thepolicearehere had my aq hdc3's after i reconed them, did a recone for meathead and his dc 15" neo. going to be doinga recone for Ge_off_me here soon

PEOPLE WHEN ORDERING A RECONE MAKE SURE IT'S NOT FROM A POS COMPANY!!!! DONT BUY HOBBY STORE GLUE!! DC AND FMS/PSI SELL RECONE/GLUE KITS THAT ARE GOOD! DONT BE CHEAP

I was gunna try my hand at reconing but the Fi I have laying around has a shifted magnet so I gotta ship the whole thing to them an might as we have them recone also

Not sure the price on your CA glue but I thought I would mention Fi. I bought a 24oz kit for $70 from them which seems to be a nice deal for that much and I know the glue is quality. If ordered there give 1-2 weeks shipping time, they are a bit slow.

I'm not an FI fan, I don't think I will ever need a 24oz bottle of ca glue lol and that is really slow.

Psi is $30 or so and I can't remember if it's 2oz or 8oz but comes with activator and rubber glue iirc

Dc when you buy a recone kit from them they just Include everything unlike other company's.

Yeah, it's a lot of glue for sure, but they have smaller quantities too. I use a lot on these nightshades due to the gap at the spider landing on the new sundown baskets. I also enjoy playing with this stuff and have plans on making some hybrids soon so the glue will get used.
Nice of DC to give you what you need with the cones. Wish all companies did that, but I'm not sure what the cone prices are and maybe the price of glue is already rolled in making it a little more for the cone? Either way it makes it easier on the buyer.

Dc recones are cheap and all parts made in America(accept motors and baskets) even there CA glue... I was just on the phone with rusty for 45mins today lol

That's cool, I like DC. The equipment seems great. Has to be good reason for the huge following and its growing fast.
The new Zv.3 spiders are bigger so they started carrying baskets that will work with them. Still works with the NS but like I said, has a gap and less landing so I up the glue to make sure I don't have to worry about the spider.

I thought the zv3 used 8" spider and standard 12 spoke basket?

Ya I like dc, best customer service I've seen and amazing product! Don't get me wrong though I like me other brands but there's a couple brands that I'm just not a fan of.

Yeah, I emailed Jacob about it and this is what he told me:

"The new frames have a wider landing and a lip on the outside for our Z v.3 spiders (they are 8 3/8" wide). The ID of the landing is still the same so just sand the inner part and put glue there and put the spider down -- there is just more left over area on the outside."

Ya dc is probably my favorite. Talked to rusty about making domed out dry carbon fiber dustcaps and he told me an hour after I got off the phone with him he talked to his carbon fiber man and they will be making some! Weather is pretty cold down here bb509, mid to low 30's.
