3/0 is not that big, and would work great. I have 2/0 welding cable and it works just fine. It's also generally made of ofc and can carry current better than cca. It's useful because you can use less runs for the same amount of current, like liljestrand said ^^

Yeah, some use up to 4/0 flex. I would think anything bigger than that would be too hard to work with.
