It was the v1 that had the defective batch. That sucks though, I loved my D9. I think it's time for you to get one

Do you know what blew and why? Have you opened it up to check the fets? Could be an easy fix for you if you know how to solder/de-solder

Oh yea, my bad its the V2's that were crap. I had bought one for a local buddy, it blew after a week. There is a guy on caraudioclassifieds named 807tubenut that repaired it. He beefed it up to, hes really good at repairs but im not sure if he repairs amps anymore. I know he repairs crescendo only now.

Tommy/807tubenut may only repair for crescendo, hes banned from Caco. He's scammed quite a few people on there and on CSCO..
Sucks about your amp op, lots of good 3-4k amps for the cheap though. $425-600 I've seen lately.

Re: Blew my amp today :(
ya i seen that Tommy had quite a few police reports on him lol
i knew the amp would go out was bought at a really look price so had to pick it up knowing they were defective
aaron was telling me about a couple companys that would likely fix it
but saying how i shipped the fi in already i'll either trade the HW i have for a FI or other way around aaron is trying to get me to go Fi an i was thinking a 2 18's wall build
an yes ryan D9 lol

I'd stick with rd hw over FI. That's just me. I think Aaron is just suggesting the subs he has...I think Aaron still has a lot to learn...(no disrespect Aaron, I still have a lot to learn too)

Re: Blew my amp today :(
well i have time to think about it, with my personal experience FI has a much better customer service then RD so that plays into also, don't get me wrong i love my RD but im always up for new things different directions
but i'll forsure have to have justin make me a box if the wall doesn't go
aarons box is just amazing!!!!

Rd audio has a new owner. Replied to emails real fast. Depending on how old that rd sub is you have you mayb able to have an atomic recone go in it and find a matching atomic sub, or if it's Just a motor find another one and have psi do there thang

What did PSI say? What is the coil size? If you don't pursue it and end up getting rid of the motors I might buy them from you in the future.Hector_509 wrote:its a V2 motor so it isn't that old

Also, have you tested the fets in your amp? I did not see anything in the pictures, maybe I was not looking hard enough. Do you know what components show burn marks?
