Trunk box help Empty Trunk box help

Ok, so I might have to go to a trunk build. 18" BTL. Should I do
1 sub up and port into cabin
2 sub up port up
3 sub up port facing rear
4 sub into cabin port into cabin sealed off
5 sub back port back (the would be little room for air to pass around the box to get into the cabin)
Im thinking either 1 or 4, all the boxes would be 5-5.5 cubes at 28-30 hz.

And should I take my rear 6x9s out so more air will be pushed into the cabin, or will it help at all? Id obviously relocated the speakers but will it make a difference in the bass?

Trying to get lower. I peaked at around 45hz, I want to peak at 40hz or under. And I want to hit a 145. Which It should be capable of right?

If I do sub up with a areo port in the middle facing into the cabin (I would put down my little ski pole opening in my seats) I think that will be easier to make, but if I did it all facing forward and seal it off would I get a better number?

Sealing it off will only get you a better number if its 100% sealed off. And with a 18" a "ski whole" port won't allow you to get low and will keep you from getting those numbers. I say sub/port cabin sub on passenger side port on driver side. Areo ports the way to go it will help that big sub move and recoil quicker. 8" or mabe 3-4 6" 18's need to breathe tune in the 28's and run a good amount of power. Also think of your car as your enclosure not your box. Your only as loud as you build your enclosure not your box. I've seen a 150 with prefabbed boxes in trunks because they properly sealed braced and deadened there trunk. Just some food for thought.......
