Smd distortion detecter

I'm thinking of getting the smd distortion detector to set my amps right ! I just think it would be a handy tool to have what do u guys think

I've heard nothing but good things about it. It's a very basic tool but it's a good one.

To be honest unless you plan on using it multiple times its worth it. If not then its not. There are a few people on here with one including myself. If you plan on just using it once then I think it would serve you better to meet up with someone that has one. I'm in tillamook so its not that far of a drive. Plus I'm out that way every weekend.

i just ordered it ! im gonna be doing a new build soon so i will need it to set the ampps ! im looking in to buying 2 lanzar opti 12ks or dcaudio 12k i want to run 20,000 watts have not decided on subs yet maby 4 lms ultra 5400 18s

Way way to much power for those subs.... 3500 to 4k.. but if u are looking st dc iam ur man...

You should hopefully be good now with the new DD-1. Mine is blown because I got one of the first 1,000 and it could not handle my AB 1100.1 amp. Make sure you tell them you will be testing very large amps

that makes sense then. are you getting it warrantied because of this? i cant imagine mr meade trying to pull a fast one and say you should have known better

Yes, they will fix them for free. But what's kinda bullshit is they said they want $10 if they are to upgrade it. I have not sent mine in yet, but I need to stop being lazy and just do it.
